Merry Christmas Sunday, December 17, 2006
Tis the season!
Candy canes, cookies, family time, shopping craziness, sitting by the fire watching holiday movies....
Can you believe another holiday season is upon us?
I wanted to have a nice snowy picture to show you, to share a New England Christmas, but this year the weather is warm and the world is brown. We may still get a white Christmas but it doesn’t look promising. Will the only “White Christmas” this year be the old movie that I watched with Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney?
But the candy, the shopping, the snow - all of these are holiday traditions and the real meaning of the season - Jesus - is with us always!
So, I will keep my fingers crossed for snow, and I will shop til I drop, and I will eat too much and spend time with my family and friends and hopefully, amidst all the fun and stress, I will have time to focus on Jesus, on his birth, on the grace he brought to this world. I hope you get the time to focus on Him, too.
Merry Christmas to all!
